Stroke Supports for You

If you have been affected by stroke, we provide support to help you live life to the fullest.

One in six people will have a stroke at some time in their life. Most are over 65, but stroke can strike at any age. Even young people and children can be affected.

Stroke Connect Service

Our Stroke Connect Service (SCS) is a weekly telephone support service for newly-discharged stroke patients and all stroke survivors who need practical and emotional support.

Life after Stroke support group

Our is a strong community of stroke survivors who offer each other advice, information and support in a private environment. Group activities include free online exercise classes, information talks, health advice and peer-to-peer support.

Call our Nurse Support Line with any questions or concerns you may have about managing life after stroke.

Our Nurse Support Line is available on 01 688 5001, from 9am to 5pm every Monday, and from 9am to 1pm, Tuesday to Friday.

Face to Face Stroke Support Groups

Our experienced stroke coordinators run monthly face to face stroke support groups nationally (see locations below). These meetings offer an opportunity for stroke survivors to get together and share their experiences, listen to talks from external speakers, take part in various activities including supervised exercise as well as enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and a chat. To join a group in your area, please request a call aboce or call our nurseline on 01 688 5001, from 9am to 5pm every Monday, and from 9am to 1pm, Tuesday to Friday.
